Lovely Gilly , here is the poem you kindly asked me to read for Mark's funeral . It was such an honour to do so , you chose perfectly, as Mr T would undoubtedly agree. The shock, the heartbreak , the devastating reality that I could no longer call Mark , or whats app him, thats he was not to be found in the paddock with Chester and Bailey and of course Gilly , has been unacceptably surreal and something I am truly finding so difficult to contemplate . The funeral was such a comfort , perfect in every way to reflect Mark's values in life , Mark's life . 'When You Are Broken Open ' and in particular for me , 'The Lark Ascending' will forever be in my mind as this wonderful man was laid to rest , way before he should have been taken from us . Rest in Peace Mr . T under the Grinshill you truly loved . He Is Gone , David Harkins . You can shed tears that he is gone , Or you can smile because he has lived . You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back , Or you can open your eyes , and see all that he has left. Your heart can be empty because you cant see him, Or you can be full of the love that you shared . You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow , because of yesterday . You can remember him and only that he is gone, Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on . You can cry and close your mind , Be empty and turn your back , Or you can do what he , Mr. T would want , Smile , Open your eyes , Love , And go on .

This is a poem we wrote a few years back to celebrate Tunners’ retirement 💛 Our favourite man Mr Tunners What a pleasure it has been, To work with you over these past years What stories and memories we have gleaned! We would like to give you a flavour Of our favourite Tunners times In the form of this terribly written poem And our hopeless attempts at rhymes It was always such a treat to visit Tunners in the field Seeing him in action, with all the incredible support he sealed Did you know he knows literally the entirety of the UK We’d be stopping every 5 seconds to say hi and wave before going on our way! The respect his team has for him is second to none Even showering him with gifts on his birthday, days full of fun As a young man it was an honour to observe this Gentleman in action I watched and observed how he’d give Retailers so much satisfaction. In business you can’t put a price on what relationships can bring, You know this man would get the tills to ring chi-ching I could only stand in awe of his incredible charm, Even a strong word or two does no harm He is a self confessed skeptic on occasions, i must say And ever so opinionated in his very unique way My favourite was listening to mark in sales drives in full flow But come on, with all his incredible experience, what do we even know?! Tunner was often known as the Tod Master, Although the VM team worried he’d think our TODs were a disaster Id wait for the Boots Period change for him to praise and shame Even VM once put a positive Tunners Tod email in a frame. If I ever had a question, query or needed some sound advice He always picked up my calls which was oh so very nice A true legend, and such a support he has been to me With his wise words, wisdom and experience, I’m sure you’d agree And so to your retirement we send you off with all our love After so many years of going over and above However now that I’m back in the team, Any chance you could stay to help, that would be a dream.
